Toastmasters International promotes four membership building contests throughout the year. Clubs that take part in membership building can receive club and individual awards. Join in the fun, and help your club grow to be even stronger!

Individual Recognition -- July 1 to June 30
This contest runs all year long, and is for individual recognition. In order to get credit for bringing a member to Toastmasters, your name and home club number must appear on the membership application as the person that encouraged the member to join.
Sponsor five new members -- receive the Building the Best pin
Sponsor ten new members -- receive the Gold Star pin
Sponsor 15 or more new members -- receive a Toastmasters necktie or scarf

Smedley Award -- August 1 to September 30
In honor of Ralph Smedley, founder of Toastmasters, any club that adds five dual, new, or reinstated members between August 1 and September 30 will qualify to receive the Smedley Award ribbon to display on your club's banner. Adding five new members will also count towards your Club's DCP recognition!

Talk Up Toastmasters -- February 1 to March 31

Beat the Clock -- May 1 to June 30
